This dye emits green fluorescent radiation when bound to DNA or RNA. SYBR Safe Gel dye stimulates a maximum of two fluorescents. When linked to nucleic acid, one is centered at 267 nm and the other at 294 nm. In addition, the paint emits visible radiation at 491 nm.
