Its molecular weight is 94 kDa and Taq DNA Polymerase is suitable for amplification of target DNA up to 5 kb. The elongation rate is ~ 0.9 &#8211; 1.2 kb \/minute (70-75\u00b0C). It has 5\u2018 &#8211; 3\u2019 polymerase activity, 5\u2018 &#8211; 3\u2019 exonuclease activity.
